RecyclePlus is a new doorstep service provided by Sanipac. We will collect your recyclable items that cannot go in your blue cart, and items to be donated or reused within our local community.

Nope! RecyclePlus works in tandem with your regular curbside recycling and garbage collection. RecyclePlus expands your recycling capacity to include items that have customarily been landfilled.

RecyclePlus collects the following items: household batteries, light bulbs, textiles, plastic film, Styrofoam/ block foam and dairy tubs. In the future, we hope to add more specialty items for collection as an opportunity for donations to various Lane County charities.

Nope! Just let us know via the app you have something to be picked up and we will come and get what materials from the accepted list you have put out. If one week you only have batteries and lightbulbs, no problem. If the next collection day you have all the items, that is no problem either.

We will collect all of the accepted items listed for the monthly charge of $13/month.

The charge will appear on your regular quarterly Sanipac billing statement. Going on an extended vacation? Contact our customer service team to put this service as well as your garbage and recycling services on pause. RecyclePlus is $13/month.

We will deliver to you a durable, metal storage box (14” tall x 13” wide x 13” deep, weighs 10.9lbs), four cloth bags (to be used for: textiles, plastic film, batteries, and lightbulbs) as well as two plastic bags for the white block Styrofoam (purple bag) and the dairy tubs (yellow bag). You collect what materials you have and place them in the respective bags and then set the full cloth bags in the metal box, and place the full plastic bags outside next to the box. Then access the Sanipac app at least the day before your pickup day and let us know to come by. (You will receive a reminder notification on your pickup week asking if you want us to come by that week, simply click and select "YES.") On your collection day, our friendly Waste Connections staff member will be by to collect your items and return the empty bags back to your box.

The metal box is designed to be left outdoors, there is no need to bring your box inside after collection day, unless you want to. We ask that the metal boxes are left in a place that is visible from the street for our RecyclePlus drivers. We ask that you do not place the box curbside, especially if you have our other regularly scheduled services that day too. The metal box and bags can be confusing for our other drivers, and we don’t want them accidentally picking up the materials that are meant to be recycled.

We recognize that the Styrofoam and dairy tubs won’t fit inside the provided metal box, and we would you like you to place those full bags next to your metal box. We purposefully provided the larger plastic bags to be able to fit those larger materials and to help keep them dry and protected from the elements. We will empty those plastic bags and return them to you.

Our friendly, safe, and trusted Sanipac team members will be collecting your RecyclePlus items.

Unfortunately once an item is collected there is no way to get it back. Please make sure all items in your box are items you are ready to part with, and know that they are going to be recycled or donated to someone in need.

Every other week! Your pickup day is based off of your address and we will let you know when your collection day will be. Once you receive your RecyclePlus supplies and your official pickup day, you can use the Sanipac app to be alerted the Sunday night of your collection week. Just access the app at least the night before pickup to let us know to come by!

No! Just make sure your items are placed in the box by 6:30am on your collection day and our team members will be by to collect them.

Right now, RecyclePlus is only be available to residents living in single- family houses. In the future, we hope to expand this service into apartments and condominiums. Please contact sanipacrecycleplus@wasteconnections.com if you are interested in this future service.

2. We believe in helping our community reduce, reuse and recycle in all the ways we can. All items Recycle Plus collects are items that are prohibited in the blue recycle cart. Collecting these items separately allows us the opportunity to get them recycled instead of landfilling them.
3. Life can be busy and making that extra trip to the transfer station or donation center can be challenging. Let us take the burden off of you by collecting these items from your doorstep and making sure they are properly handled.
